Delegates to the annual convention of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada protested vigorously today against the reported desecration of the Wailing Wall in Jordan-held old Jerusalem.
Rabbi Pinchas Teitz of Elizabeth, N.J., a member of the organization’s presidium, told the delegates how he learned from a group of West German clergymen that Jordan was tearing stones off the famous wall and giving them away as “souvenirs.”
