The dedication took place here today of the School of Archaeology of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. The dedication ceremony marked the inauguration of the school’s academic activities.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Nelson Glueck, president of the institution, who came with a group of other Americans especially for the occasion. Deputy Prime Minister, Abba Eban delivered the dedication address. George D. Henry, Cultural Attache of the United States Embassy brought greetings on behalf of the U. S. Government. Dr. Eliahu Elath, president of the Hebrew University and Rabbi Earl Stone, president of the Hebrew Union College Alumni Association also expressed their congratulations.
