Moses A. Leavitt, executive vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, and Dr. Joseph C. Hyman, his predecessor in that post, today attended the dedication of tombstones over the graves of David Guzik and Gertrude Pinski, J.D.C. representatives who died in an airplane crash at the Prague airport last year.
Leavitt and Hyman eulogized the late J.D.C. aides who were returning to their posts in Czechoslovakia and Poland when their plane crashed. Other speakers at the ceremony included representatives of the J.D.C. staff in Warsaw and Prague and Zalman Rubashev, editor of the Palestine Hebrew daily Davar. Representatives of the U.S. and Polish embassies and of the local Jewish community council were present.
