The third national conference of the American Technion Society concluded here today following adoption of a decision to conduct a membership drive in this country and Canada with a goal of 100,000 members. The Society also pledged to increase its technical aid to the Jewish state, and will undertake an “inventory” of its members to see what technical personnel and information it can help channel to Israel.
It was announced at the conference that Alexander Konoff, New Jersey industrialist, has donated $100,000 to increase and expand the facilities of the Haifa Technion’s Junior College, also known as the Technical High School.
