Rabbi Philip Bernstein, chairman of the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs, launched today a new fund-raising campaign to secure $250,000 to meet the needs of the mounting Arab–Israel crisis.
Rabbi Bernstein requested Laurence G. Laskey and Josselyn M. Shore, co-chairmen of the National Finance Council of his organization to undertake the fund-raising without delay. The rabbi said the funds must be secured in individual contributions not deducible from income tax. The drive is scheduled to end April 1.
