Rabbi Isadore Breslau, executive director of the Zionist Organization of America, today denied that political committee at the ZOA convention in Cincinnati declined the suggestion to pass a resolution on Soviet Russia as a British ally in the present war.

“No political resolutions were considered or adopted other than the one proclamation presented to the convention by Dr. Wise on September 7th and unanimously adopted,” Rabbi Breslau said. “The proclamation included a paragraph saying ‘we are confident that the mighty effort of the British Commonwealth of Nations, China. Russia, Free France and all their allies, with increasingly effective aid of our own country, will, under God, result in the total defeat of Hitlerism and in the triumph of freedom.” This proclamation was intended to cover all political matters, and it includes a definite and specific reference to Russia, along with the other major belligerents, as deserving of our encouragement and support.”
