The Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel concluded its annual convention here today with the adoption of a budget for the coming year totaling 265,000 Israeli pounds ($88,000). David Breslau, assistant director of the Hillel Foundation at the Hebrew University, was elected president of the association.
In resolutions adopted at the convention, the delegates expressed satisfaction with the improved efforts on the part of the Israel Government and the Jewish Agency to facilitate the immigration of potential settlers from the United States and Canada. The delegates urged that more emphasis should be put on new specific techniques needed for immigration of individuals and families, rather than stress on collective immigration which had been practiced in the past.
