The people of the United States were urged today by Congresswoman Frances P. Bolton, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, to combat bigotry, emphasizing that “an attack on any religious group endangers everyone’s freedom.” She spoke at a meeting of the B’nai B’rith Women here.
“All religious prejudice, anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic, anti-Protestant, must be eliminated if we are to maintain our religious freedom and our other freedoms,” Congresswoman Bolton said. “All freedoms are inseparable. Religious prejudice must be downed wherever it raises its head, whether we are the victims of it or not. Only through eternal vigilance and dedication to the principles of the brotherhood of man can this be accomplished.”
