COTY’S EDITORSHIP OF THE PAPER IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST ANTI-SEMITIC ON THE CONTINENT, FEATURING ARTICLES BY THE PERFUME MANUFACTURER IN WHICH HE AIRED THE MOST FANTASTIC ACCUSATIONS AGAINST JEWS. AFTER COTY’S DEATH IN 1934, THE PAPER PASSED THROUGH SEVERAL HANDS, ITS MOST RECENT OWNERS BEING GEORGES MANDEL, RIGHTIST LEADER, AND PIERRE TAITTINGER.
