Amidst scenes of unprecedented enthusiasm a conference of the British section of the Jewish National Fund inscribed in the J.N.F. Golden Book the names of the 33 nations which voted for partition at the General Assembly.
The name of Great Britain was also inscribed in recognition for her past services to the Jewish people. Finally, the about-to-be-created Jewish State was also inscribed. Some $30,000 was collected for the J.N.F. at the conference in a matter of minutes.
