Israeli Consul General Rehaveam Amir, who was scheduled to fly to Jerusalem tonight to prepare for his new job as ambassador to Thailand, stressed last night the importance to Israel of support from Asian and African nations in view of Arab attempts to isolate the Jewish State. Amir spoke at a reception in his honor hosted by Dr. Emanuel Neumann, chairman of the World Zionist Organization–American section. The other speakers were Rabbi Israel Miller, president of the American Zionist Federation, and Jacob Stein, vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.
