Amsterdam International Protests Execution of Jewish Socialist in Lithuania

A protest of the International Federation of Trade Unions, known as the Amsterdam International, was directed to the government of Lithuania against the execution of the death sentence imposed by a court martial on the Jewish socialist, Melamed. Melamed was executed last week in Kovno.

In the telegram despatched by the secretariat of the International to Premier Valdemaras, the International protests against the outrage of the continuation of martial law in Lithuania and terms the frequent imposition of death sentences upon labor leaders shameful.
