The Senate of the Municipal University of Amsterdam announced today that it has decided not to send representatives to the 550th anniversary celebration of Heidelberg University next June. The decision, it was stated, was activated by reasons of principle. The universities of Leyden and Groningen have previously announced they would not participate.
