An American gay media watchdog honored an Israeli film.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation on Tuesday awarded its annual prize for outstanding film in limited release to “The Bubble,” a drama set in Tel Aviv that features a homosexual love affair between an Israeli soldier and a Palestinian.
The alliance was set up in the early days of the AIDS crisis to monitor media reports for bias against homosexuals.
