An association of Greek journalists refused to allow its offices to be used for an event featuring Holocaust denier David Irving. The Association of Athens Journalists said Irving could not present “The War of the Generals: Inside the Allied Forces 1944-1945” because his books propagate Holocaust denial. The association earlier had decided to allow Irving to appear, but changed its position following a protest from the Central Jewish Board of Greece. Irving is best known for losing a libel lawsuit he brought against Deborah Lipstadt and her publisher, Penguin Books, after Lipstadt accused Irving of being a Holocaust denier.
