An audio documentary about a Jewish man who stood around 8 feet tall and weighed about 300 pounds is scheduled to be premiered at the Jewish Museum in New York on Thursday evening. The piece about Eddie Carmel, the “Jewish Giant,” is also slated to air on National Public Radio on Oct. 6. Carmel, who suffered from an excess of growth hormones, died in 1972 at the age of 36.
