An event in Washington will commemorate the 50th anniversary of “The Night of the Murdered Poets” in the Soviet Union. Monday’s event — sponsored by NCSJ: Advocates on Behalf of Jews in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States and Eurasia — marks the night in 1952 when 13 Jews, several of whom were writers, were executed at Stalin’s bequest for treason.
