An initial report on Greater Boston’s united campaign of the Joint Distribution Committee and American Palestine Campaign to raise $10.000 was made at a volunteer workers’ luncheon meeting here. Morris Rothenberg, president of the Zionist Organization of America and co-chairman of the drive, appealed for support.
Trade teams of men’s and women’s divisions reported as follows.
George Barkin. chairman of the shoe and leather team, $3.168.
Dr. George Kramer, chairman of the Malden Zionist District, the first to oversubscribe its quota, $3.001.

Mrs. Ely Feibelman reported on the work of the women’s division for German Jewish children. Mrs. Maurice Sapers spoke on the fundraising drive in their behalf now being organized in New England.
Speaking of the horror, degradation and humiliation of the German Jewish children by the Nazi terror, Mr. Rothenberg declared that there is no hope for Jews in Germany.
Robert Silverman, one of the national directors for the united Jewish campaign, was warmly greeted when he called for the cooperation of Greater Boston.
Dr. Leon Medalia and Ralph Bass presided.
