An inquiry directed by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency to circles close to the Zionist Executive in London brought forth the reply that although Dr. Weizmann’s health has not been entirely restored, his condition was deemed as not causing anxiety. In the same circles the rumor that Dr. Weizmann intends to resign from the presidency of the World Zionist Organization, when the Zionist Congress goes into session in Zurich on July 28, because of ill health, was declared as entirely unfounded. Dr. Weizmann was seen last week at the executive offices of the World Zionist Organization, 77 Great Russell Street.

The inquiry was prompted by the spread of a rumor in some Zionist circles in New York, to the effect that the Zionist leader had decided, at the advice of his physicians, to withdraw from the leadership of the movement. The rumor also had it that no announcement to this effect would be made before the end of July. This rumor, as stated above, could not be confirmed.
