An Israeli Arab was jailed for planning to kidnap a soldier on behalf of Hamas. Tel Aviv District Court sentenced the man to 16 years in prison Monday under a plea bargain. He had confessed to joining Hamas two years ago and receiving telephone instructions from a terrorist cell in the Gaza Strip to kidnap a soldier for ransom.
