An Israeli army general’s remarks about Palestinians in Jordan sparked a diplomatic spat. Maj. Gen. Yair Naveh, commander of Israeli forces in the West Bank, was quoted as telling reporters Wednesday that given Jordan’s Palestinian majority, its King Abdullah “could be the last Hashemite king.”
