An Israeli army officer was jailed for taking his men on a rogue raid in the West Bank.
A court-martial sentenced an infantry lieutenant to 15 months in the stockade on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to hijacking a Palestinian taxi last year for an undercover patrol in the West Bank village of Dahariya.
During the incident, the officer and his men shot and wounded a Palestinian passerby.
The court-martial also demoted the lieutenant to the rank of private.
