An Israeli bank plans to offer credit cards that can’t be used on Shabbat. Bank Leumi said this week that the initiative was launched at the behest of Orthodox customers, but that it is not yet known when the card will officially be offered. Available under VISA and Mastercard, the card would automatically disable itself during Shabbat.
