An Israeli Cabinet minister and former Prisoner of Zion visited Russia and negotiated a tourist arrangement between the two countries. According to the project negotiated by Israeli Absorption Minister Yuli Edelstein, the Jewish state will receive about 2 million Russian Orthodox pilgrims between 1999 and 2001 to celebrate the 2,000th anniversary of Christianity.
