An Israeli civil servant filed a claim saying he was the victim of reverse discrimination — the first such case since an affirmative action law was passed In Israel in 1995. Haim Azlan claimed he lost the post of administrative director at a psychiatric hospital in Acre to a woman because of efforts to increase female representation at such jobs. Naomi Asulin filed a counter- claim, saying her experience and education made her more qualified for the position than Azian.
