An Israeli court has allowed the publication of the name of an American of Lebanese descent detained in December on suspicion of being a member of the Syrian National Party, which is active in Lebanon, and of passing information to a relative living in northern Israel. The suspect, Bashara Sayidi, was detained on Dec. 25 during a visit to the hometown of his wife in northern Israel.
