An Israeli court ordered the release of a Lebanese man who was jailed without trial for seven years. But the court delayed the release of Ghassan al-Dirani for 30 days to allow the state to appeal the ruling. Ghassan al-Dirani is a nephew of a leading Lebanese cleric, Mustafa Dirani, whom Israel abducted in 1994 in the hopes of using him as a bargaining chip to obtain information about missing Israeli air man Ron Arad.
