An Israeli Druse lawmaker called for soldiers from his community to be exempt from carrying out the Gaza Strip withdrawal. “We made a bond in blood with the Jews to defend the nation’s borders, not to deport brother citizens,” Ayoub Kara of the Likud Party said Monday at an event marking the annual Druse Soldiers Day.
