An Israeli Knesset committee plans to hold a special session to discuss a bill calling for early elections. The action came after the requisite one-third of committee members signed a petition to call panel members back from summer recess to discuss the bill. The Knesset passed the bill by 60-6 in a preliminary vote last month.
