An Israeli lawyer died in what appeared to be a mob assassination.
Yoram Hacham, a well-known defense attorney for many of Israel’s underworld figures, was blown up in his jeep in central Tel Aviv on Wednesday. Police described the incident as “extremely serious” and imposed a gag order on publishing details of the case.
Experts said the sophistication and audacity of the car bombing had all the hallmarks of a mob hit.
Israeli mobs have recently escalated the violence of their street wars, but generally restricted attacks to known gangsters.
