An Israeli media tycoon was convicted of obstructing justice and intimidating witnesses in his son’s wiretapping trial. Sunday’s convictions of Ya’acov Nimrodi, the owner of Ma’ariv, came after his son Ofer Nimrodi, once Ma’ariv’s editor, spent 17 months in jail for ordering a wiretap at Yediot Achronot, a rival paper.
