An Israeli navy commando who fought to prove a link between diving exercises in polluted waters and cancer died of the disease Wednesday. Arik Rosenthal, 31, was a leading voice in a public campaign to prove a link between the cancer contracted by some commandos and their diving in the Kishon River, near Haifa, where the navy conducted exercises for many years.
