An Israeli Navy patrol boat intercepted and sank a boat manned by terrorists in a brief exchange of fire off Israel’s northern coast near the Lebanese border shortly before midnight Friday. There were no Israeli casualties. A military spokesman said the sunken craft was identified as the same type used by terrorists who infiltrated the Israeli seaside town of Nahariya and killed four persons last June 23. It was believed to be engaged in a similar attempt to infiltrate terrorists into Israel by sea for assaults on civilians.
