An Israeli Nobel Prize winner born in Hungary is visiting the country where he was born. During his weeklong visit, Avram Hershko, who shared this year’s Nobel Prize in chemistry, will receive a state honor from Hungary’s prime minister and will be made an honorary citizen of his hometown of Karcag. He also will visit a Jewish school and meet Hungarian Jewish scientists.
