An Israeli soldier reported missing since the early days of the fighting near Tyre last week was found wounded after a clash with terrorists near Sidan Tuesday. Ephraim Talbi, of the Haifa area, had been posted missing after a fight near Tyre, on the, first day of the push northwards. Talbi had been held prisoner near Sidan and was discovered lying on the ground by the Israeli troops after an exchange with terrorists hiding in fruit groves.
When his mother was informed by phone of his safe arrival in a hospital she refused to believe the news until provided with exact information about his name, address, birthday and family members.
Talbi, meanwhile, was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital in Israel.
