An Israeli soldier was stabbed to death at a checkpoint near Jerusalem. The Palestinian who carried out Thursday’s attack at the Kalandia checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah was taken into custody. It was not immediately clear if he belonged to a terrorist group. His victim, one of several soldiers at the checkpoint, suffered fatal wounds to the throat. The army closed Kalandia until further notice.
