An Israeli woman working in Florida as an emissary for the Jewish Agency for Israel was killed in a boating accident. Michal Elboim, 24, fell off the bow of a pontoon boat and into the Perdido Bay. She was run over by the boat and died of injuries suffered by contact with its propellers, according to the Pensacola News Journal. Elboim had been stationed as a Jewish Agency emissary at the Pensacola Jewish Federation and also conducted activities in Montgomery, Birmingham and Mobile, Ala. through the Jewish Federation of Central Alabama.
She was scheduled to leave the United States on Aug. 5 for some travel before returning to Israel.
