An Italian judge ruled that a convicted SS officer can stay in a Rome apartment while he serves the remaining three months of his sentence. Residents of the apartment building have greeted Erich Priebke, who has three months left to serve for his role in a 1944 massacre in which 335 people were killed, with protests and angry banners.
