An Ohio resident cannot be a U.S. citizen because he was a guard in Nazi concentration camps, a federal appeals court ruled. The court upheld a 2002 decision by a Cleveland federal judge revoking John Demjanjuk’s U.S. citizenship. The U.S. government has spent 27 years trying to prove Demjanjuk, 84, was a Nazi guard who tried to hide his past.
