An online petition was launched calling on British university teachers to rescind their boycott of Israeli universities. The petition calls the boycott by the British Association of University Teachers “counterproductive, racist, and bigoted,” saying it “singles out the only Jewish State in the world for punishment, yet ignores the numerous despotic, oppressive, tyrannical, fundamentalist, and repressive regimes in the world.”
