An open letter addressed to Foreign Minister Stresemann was published in today’s issue of the “CV. Zeitung,” the organ of the Central Union of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith.
The letter makes reference to the efforts made by Germany during the Berlin Congress on behalf of religious freedom in Roumania and says that Roumania has not fulfilled her obligations. It is the German government’s duty to use its influence with the League of Nations for the protection of the Jewish population in Roumania.
