An Orthodox Jewish woman won a Jewish comedy contest in New York. Joan Weiner, who wears a sheitl, or wig, worn by some married Orthodox women to promote modesty in accordance with Jewish law, won the June 23 competition sponsored by the New York Jewish Week.
