An Russian Jewish umbrella group is launching a program to help families who are fleeing the war in Chechnya. The Russian Jewish Congress hopes to provide the refugees with lodging and financial help. Other Jewish organizations, including the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Jewish Community Development Fund in Russia, have announced they will participate in the project.
