An uncensored report brought here by a reliable messenger from Haifa described the situation of the Jewish population in the various Palestine centers as extremely grave, although the Jewish youth is everywhere organizing itself into a brilliant self-defense corps.
The report charged that the Arabs are carrying on their hostilities openly while the police continue to be unable to master the situation and the authorities fail to furnish the Jewish self-defense adequate arms.
The report further stated that the hostilities continued throughout Palestine. Jerusalem was the scene of savage assaults and massacre. The Jewish colony, Hartuf, sustained heavy losses. Several were killed and many injured. Tel Aviv and the surrounding colonies as well as those in the Valley of Jezreel are facing the greatest danger.
