The collapse, this week, of a section of the ancient Samaritan synagogue at Nablus, which is the oldest one in Palestine, uncovered a stone inscribed in Samaritan Hebrew script.
The inscription has not yet been deciphered, but Samaritan scholars say it contains the Ten Commandments. The stone has been taken to the Antiquities Department of the Palestine Government where it will be studied.
