Disclosure of what transpired at a “national anti-Semitic conference” held in Los Angeles last month under the auspices of the “United Israelites,” or, as they sometimes call themselves, the “Anglo-Israelites,” is made today in the newspaper PM.
The paper reveals that 1,000 to 1,500 delegates attended the conference which was featured by numerous anti-Semitic speeches, in which Jews were described variously as “liars.” “murderers” and “skunks.” It was announced that “a funeral service” would soon be held for the Jews, and those present were urged to “get their guns” and prepare to fight the Jews.
The Anglo-Israelites claim that the Gentiles, rather than the Jews, are God’s chosen peoples, and that the Jews are impostors and “not the seed of Abraham.” The leaders of the movement are reported to be cooperating with Gerald L. K. Smith.
