Animals at a Haifa zoo got stressed and fatter during Israel’s monthlong conflict with Hezbollah. Ha’aretz reported that for the first time since the conflict started July 12, the Haifa Zoo’s carnivores were let back outside. They had been moved indoors, to keep them safe from Hezbollah rocket strikes and to prevent their escape in case a rocket hit the zoo’s outer wall.
