An Amsterdam rental agency removed an advertisement for an apartment that said guests could “live like Anne Frank.”
The amsterdamstay.com agency changed its Web site and removed the slogan after being contacted by the Anne Frank Foundation, which oversees the Anne Frank House and museum here.
The foundation holds legal rights to the Anne Frank name and forbids its use without permission. A staff member at the Anne Frank House said one reason is to prevent tourist industry exploitation of the name.
