The old building in whose attic Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis for several years before being found and deported to their death, is to be wrecked shortly to make room for a new municipal development, it was revealed here today.

The building was visited by thousands of people after the publication of the poignant “Diary of Anne Frank,” in which the 14-year-old Jewish girl posthumously revealed the life her family, several friends and she lived while hiding from the Nazis. The book was an immediate bestseller and has been rewritten as a play which is a current hit on Broadway.
