Anne Tabachnick,New York Jewish painter, has been awarded a grant of $8,000 for a year’s fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute at Cambridge, Mass., for Independent Study, it was announced here today, Radcliffe is the “sister” college of Harvard University, As a scholar in residence, Miss Tabachnick will be provided at the Institute with studio facilities for the progress of her work as a painter.
Miss Tabachnick’s painting have been exhibited in recent years, or are on display now, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Chicago Art Institute; and the art departments of the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Massachusetts in Boston and at many other prestigious museums. Miss Tabachnick is the daughter of Avrohom Tabachnick, noted Yiddish poet and critic, who is a member of the staff of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
